Our aim is a reference that can be checked. Factory documents, photographs, participant accounts and listening interpretations establish different things. Conflicts and uncertain identifications remain visible.

TR-606 battery size

The at-a-glance entry previously specified four AA batteries. The factory manual specifies four C-size cells (UM-2/R14), providing 6 V, or the original 9 V adaptor specification.

TR-707 signal routing

IC40 selects the envelope reference for the converter; IC41 distributes the converted signal to the sample-and-hold lanes. The trigger pulse comes from a separate rear-panel jack driven by the rimshot lane.

INXS: Need You Tonight

The earlier story reversed the journey. Andrew Farriss made the initial demo before his flight to Hong Kong. The revised account also preserves the distinction between the programmed groove and subsequent live playing.

Dates and recording attributions

Conflicting Roland TR-808 production dates are attributed rather than silently reconciled. The YMO summary identifies the BGM album project. DJ Quik’s CR-8000 identification remains tentative; the Public Enemy summary identifies the demo account. Phil Collins’s CR-78 account distinguishes the preset from added programming.

A source being linked does not certify every sentence around it. Please identify the machine, the precise claim and the supporting document, edition or recording version when reporting an error.
